Lewis Cries, Begs, Sweats, And Rolls Over On His Way Toward Lickin' A Problem That Afflicts Millions

ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY - A humongous Jerry Lewis set the world record for Dog treat consumption at his annual telethon for old arthritic dogs. The telethon is held each year between 4 and 5:30 am on the second Thursday following his annual labor-day telethon for kids with M.S.
This year Lewis collected a record 36 million dog treats of which he ate half himself. The remaining treats will be distributed to hungry handicapped dogs throughout the U.S.
Also on hand and consuming tremendous quantities of treats were old standbys Liza Minnelli, Ed McMahan, Henry Winkler, Nancy Sinatra, Phyllis Diller, Joan Rivers, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and former American Idol Ruben Studdard.
